Dragon Gate Academy’s K-8 Art curriculum will offer a comprehensive and inspiring exploration of creativity, encompassing a wide variety of artistic mediums from traditional Chinese arts to music and drama. Designed to nurture self-expression and imagination, our program encourages students to engage with diverse forms of art, such as painting, sculpting, theatrical performances, and musical composition, fostering a deep appreciation for the role of art in human experience. Through hands-on projects and collaborative performances, students develop their artistic skills while discovering the joy of creative exploration.

Throughout the K-8 journey at Dragon Gate Academy, our Art curriculum evolves to cultivate a lifelong passion for the arts through a dynamic and scaffolded approach. In the early years, students experiment with foundational techniques, such as drawing and crafting, to build confidence in their creative abilities. As they progress, they explore more complex mediums, including traditional Chinese brush painting, dramatic storytelling through plays, and composing simple melodies, enhancing their technical skills and cultural awareness. By the upper grades, students take on interdisciplinary projects, blending visual arts, drama, and music to create original works, preparing them to appreciate and contribute to the arts with depth and creativity.
